One topic that is a personal favorite of mine is photo organization. Pictures are great and swell and all, but what it becomes a crummy task trying to find anything after you hit your 5,000th or so photo (digital or analog).
Since I take most of my photos while traveling, this little gadget is particularly attractive: the Sony GPS-CS1KA GPS Unit. I know, a big little name for such a small thing. What does it do?
It syncs its timecode with the timecode of your digital picture-taking so when you upload your pictures to your computer, the little guy knows where you’ve been and (more importantly) where you were standing when you took that great picture of that sea lion on the California coast.
That’ll also come in handy if you ever are tasked with finding a certain spot again. You’ll have exact latitude and longitude for all your pictures. It even plots your photos on a Google Map!
